USAID AMPATH Uzima is a Kenya Health Partnership for Quality Services (KHPQS) funded by USAID and Manged by Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital, working in partnership with the Departments of Health in Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Elgeiyo Marakwet and West Pokot Counties.
The Academic Model Providing Access to Health Care (AMPATH) is a project under the auspices of Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), Moi University and a Consortium of North American Universities led by Indiana University whose aim is to provide sustainable efforts in access to Health Care, Research, and Training.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant position in the USAID AMPATH Uzima Program.
POSITION: PMTCT MANAGER – (1 POST)
STATION: AMPATH CENTRE

Duties & Responsibilities;
Reporting to the Director Community Services USAID AMPATH Uzima, the successful candidate will deputize PMTCT Lead Role as a lead PMTCT and Cervical Cancer officer at MTRH, while providing program support for successful implementation at county level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Deputize the Director Community Services on coordination and planning of PMTCT and Cervical Cancer Programs.
Support delivery of PMTCT activities at MTRH and program counties including but not limited to: development and monitoring of the PMTCT team’s budget, strategy and work plan.
Provide mentorship of County Teams to review and disseminate new PMTCT policies, guidelines and protocols for the delivery of high impact interventions to improve Maternal and Infant HIV Care;
Oversee effective program integration of Cervical Cancer Screening in MCH and CCC through site mentorship on client flows and appointment management, training of HCWs, monitoring performance
Support efforts to integrate PMTCT services with other program areas to enhance delivery of elimination including OVC, RMNCAH as well as family planning, maternal health and other reproductive health services.
Provide mentorship and support for sites to increase HIV prevention efforts in MCH through optimal integration of PrEP interventions among others.
Support program sites to ensure optimal identification and linkage of pregnant/ breastfeeding women and HEIs for ANC and post-natal services;
Support the mentor mother program to deliver quality support in MCH/PMTCT settings.
Participate in weekly/monthly/quarterly dashboard reviews of project clinical outcomes and utilize project data to prioritize interventions related to Maternal-Child HIV care;
Represent the project at county and regional program meetings
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor(s).
