Job Description/Requirements
Location: Kakamega
Nature of engagement: Internship/Attachment
Starting: January 2023
Duration: Three months
Number of positions: 8
Responsibilities
• Ensuring farmers prepare land in time for planting.
• Assisting farmers in rapid vine multiplication of sweet potatoes.
• Ensuring only healthy planting materials are planted.
• Regular pest and disease monitoring and management.
• Assisting farmers in harvesting and marketing of produce
• Training farmers on best farming practices with regards to sweet potatoes and passion fruits.
• Any other duty that may be assigned.
Qualifications
• Certificate or diploma in General agriculture.
• Knowledge of sweet potatoes and passion fruit agronomy.
• Must be willing to work in a team.
• Must be physically fit.
• Ability to ride a motorbike
• Knowledge of local language is preferred.
