The accountant will oversee sales operations of the company managed petrol stations by mainly getting involved in the review, verification and validation of daily sales, stocks and receivable reports (dssr -daily sales & stocks reports) from service stations to ensure good controls over station stocks, sales, cash and bankings in all company-run service stations.

Experience:
• Must have minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in oil industry.
• However, those who have worked as a depot accountant in FMCG manufacturing sector will be considered.

Duties:
The accountant will oversee sales operations of the company managed petrol stations by mainly getting involved in the review, verification and validation of daily sales, stocks and receivable reports (dssr -daily sales & stocks reports) from service stations to ensure good controls over station stocks, sales, cash and bankings in all company-run service stations.
The job holder should have an eye for detail and ability to flag suspicious or abnormal cash or credit transactions.

The accountant will report to the chief accountant and will be responsible for the following daily, weekly and monthly duties:
• Receive dssr reports from all service stations with stocks movement, cash sales/credit sales/mpesa sales and bankings.
• Verify and validate stocks movement against metered sales.
• Confirm that daily cash sales were banked in full.
• Reconcile mpesa and credit card sales to bank transfers.
• Check and confirm that credit sales were made to approved credit customers.
• Verify and validate station expenses. Prepare accurate debtors’ aged analysis (schedule) for retail customers clearly showing the age of each debt.
• Attend receivables meetings and assist the retail manager in debt collection.
• Highlight receivables above 60 days for attention by the management.
• Confirm that monthly cash sales were banked in full.
• Compile accurate sales report for each and all service stations.
• Raise invoices to each service station.
• Prepare income statement for each service station and highlight gross margin per station.

Salary: KSHS. 60,000 – 90,000 PLUS OTHER GENEROUS COMPANY BENEFITS
