Job Description/Requirements

From our establishment on the Kenyan market in 2009, Tamarind Language Services has grown to become East Africa’s premier language services supplier. We engage translators and interpreters on a global basis and our local and international customers are found in the public and private sectors.

Due to increasing demand for our services, Tamarind Language Services now seeks to recruit a Digital Sales and Marketing Specialist. The successful candidate is expected to be innovative and energetic in implementing the whole sales process from identifying a client to closing the sale, as well as undertake digital marketing activities.

Generally, the job involves to:

· Market our language services to public offices, NGOs and private companies

· Flexibly and resourcefully use creative ideas to reach out to potential clients

· Be familiar with and use online marketing tools such as Google AdWords as well as social media such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging.

· Drive our sales activities through active prospecting for opportunities, follow up on leads, contact interesting prospects, follow your curiosity and above all, close the deal!

Specifically, your duties will include to:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies

• Carry out initial research to determine potential clients

• Make appointments and attend face to face meetings with prospects

• Communicate the value and benefits of our company

• Actively use the company CRM database for sales activity progress tracking and reporting

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and customer care through well defined strategies for higher retention

• Attend events including expos and run company exhibition stands

• Negotiate deals with potential customers

• Identify and grow opportunities within new and existing territories.

• Staying up-to-date in industry developments; attend relevant trainings and conferences, maintaining personal and professional networks etc

Minimum qualification is Diploma in Sales and Marketing or similar. At least 5 years’ documented background in Sales & Marketing. Knowledge of a foreign language is an added advantage.
