Job Title: Business Development Officer – Agricultural Services
Location: Naivasha, Kenya
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the agricultural services industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and responding to RFPs and tenders. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development and proposal writing, as well as a strong understanding of the agricultural industry and its trends.
Responsibilities:
• Identify new business opportunities in the agricultural services industry and develop strategies to capture them
• Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, including conducting outreach, attending industry events, and networking
• Respond to RFPs and tenders by leading the proposal development process, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring timely submission
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the agricultural services industry
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop winning proposals that meet the needs of the client and align with the company’s goals and capabilities
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients in the agricultural services industry, and ensure that all agreements are in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the agricultural industry, including government agencies, NGOs, and other organizations
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or proposal writing, with a proven track record of success in the agricultural services industry
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective strategies to capture them in the agricultural services industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams in the agricultural services industry
• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to develop compelling proposals and presentations for the agricultural services industry
• Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to develop win-win solutions for both the company and the client in the agricultural services industry
• Knowledge of the agricultural industry and its trends, with the ability to stay up-to-date with developments and changes in the agricultural services industry
