Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct daily market visits for existing and potential customers in the assigned markets in order to achieve the given sales targets.
Design a route to market plan to scout for new markets and business opportunities while ensuring maximum geographical coverage of the company’s products.
Conversion of identified sales leads into customers.
Customer Relationship Management by managing and developing alliances with the existing customer base within the assigned markets to enhance the achievement of sales and profitability objectives.
Drive high customer service satisfaction through timely resolution and response to sales inquiries and concerns.
Monitoring and reporting of market trends and conditions, competitor activities, products, prices, and developments. Prepare and provide relevant reports and information based on the two to guide management decision-making.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely weekly / monthly/quarterly sales reports to the manager to facilitate a comprehensive sales performance review and proper planning for the various segments.
Participate and represent the company at trade exhibitions, events, and promotions in order to attract new customers, promote our brand and enhance customers’ awareness of the company’s product range.
Implement a collection plan geared towards ensuring collection targets are achieved and cash flow levels are maximized. Ensure the territory AR is at Zero (100% collection)
Conduct periodic product training for both existing and potential customers to enhance both our brand awareness and product knowledge.
Deliverables

Achieve required daily customer visit hit rate of 12 outlets
100% outlets coverage within the territory
Sales from new segments/markets
A minimum of 7 new outlets on boarded monthly.
Customer Satisfaction surveys score – 97%
All customers issues must be attended to within 24hrs
QC Change Plan
Quality and accuracy of market information
Daily reports as per callage
Timely monthly reports on sales and marketing activities vs set targets per outlet and overall territory performance.
Quality and accuracy of reports.
Adherence to the designed territory calendar of activities and updated on the territory file.
100% compliance on trading terms by timely payment collections.
Debtors days target
Free cash flow
2 outlets trained per month
Academic & Professional Qualification

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in sales and marketing.
Membership in a professional body will be an added advantage.
Relevant Knowledge & Experience

A minimum of 2 years experience in Sales within a busy manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Demonstrate high levels of performance in a field sales environment.
Market and competitor trends analysis knowledge.
Route to market strategy or planning knowledge, 80:20 rule.
A comprehensive understanding of the sales and marketing cycle. Ability to work independently with limited supervision, under pressure and meet deadlines.
Functional/Technical Skills

Excellent Persuasion, negotiation and influencing skills.
Ability to communicate to different types of customers both verbally and written.
High levels of professionalism with internal and external customers.
Excellent Customer Service, Customer Relationship, and Interpersonal Skills.
Effective planning and organization skills with the ability to design and execute action plans
