ICAP of Columbia University (registered in Kenya as Center for International Programs-Kenya) is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health to strengthen Public Health Initiatives in Kenya.

JOB TITLE: IT Manager
LOCATION: Nairobi
Overall Job Function
IT Manager will ensure the configuration and smooth running of IT infrastructure both in the office and at ICAP supported health facilities.
Responsibilities
• Administer and support complete systems and user infrastructure in close coordination with CUIT NY office.
• Deploy, manage, and support servers and applications for data collection.
• Design and implement LAN and WAN public and private networks in ICAP offices and supported health facilities
• Create routine backups of all necessary systems data
• Support all users, upgrade, and maintain software ensuring that all workstations are virus free
• Provide hardware repair and support as needed
• Liaise with the procurement officer on the purchase of IT equipment by providing specifications on IT equipment, software, and configurations
• Manage IT service providers to ensure provision of optimal services
• Assist with projects automation, integration, and improvements of IT resources
• Ensures strictest adherence and compliance to ICAP IT policies and standard operating procedures
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ICT infrastructure.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Admin and Finance Director
Qualifications
• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or any related filed
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer qualification is desirable
• At least 2 years’ experience in an IT firm or related field
• Experience and knowledge in DHIS2 will be an added advantage
• Hands on experience in computer programming skills in Java/Python/HTML/CSS/JavaScript, XML and JSON will be an added advantage
• Experience and knowledge in SQL database design, querying and administration will be an added advantage
• Experience and knowledge in Electronic Medical Records development and implementation will be an added advantage
• Experience and skills in use of data visualization software such as MS Power BI will be an added advantage
• Ability to plan and manage simultaneous competing priorities with little supervision
