Job Summary
The role requires driving company strategy, day-to-day operations, including marketing, new business acquisition, growth and servicing of Insurance Broking and Consultancy Business. The role is responsible for ensuring the business is profitable and involves a sharp focus on creating and delivering efficient and cost-effective Insurance solutions.

Job Description/Requirements
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.1 Acquisition of new business, growth and retention of existing business, proactive business management and providing prompt service to clients
1.2 Design and monitor claims handling procedures for timely claims settlement for the clients as well as ensure compliance with IRA and other service level standards.
1.3 Conduct regular and systematic appraisals and evaluations of the Company’s operations and keep the Directors updated on the same.
1.4 Oversee daily operations of the company and implement work reallocation strategies where appropriate to ensure effective Work in Progress management.
1.5 Sourcing, managing and maintaining key relationships with external service providers
1.6 Oversees the execution of Customer value across all the stages of the customer engagement.
1.7 Promote and maintain an organizational culture that reflects the Company’s values, adherence to good conduct, ethics, legal compliance, that encourages high performance and rewards productivity
1.8 Ensure brand Re-positioning and visibility.
1.9 Effectively manage day to day relationships with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA)
1.10 Undertake any other responsibility required of a Principal Officer as per the Insurance Act Cap 407.
1.11 Supervise, mentor, coach and develop direct reports.
1.12 Undertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Insurance, Economics, Commerce or its equivalent.
• MUST have insurance professional qualifications – AIIK or ACII
• MBA in Strategic Management/Marketing/Finance or related field is an advantage
• Over 10 years’ experience as an Executive such as General Manager in an Insurance Company
• Experience leading, managing and developing teams

• Superior networking, business development skills with thorough knowledge of the Insurance business
• Solid working knowledge of budgeting and strategic planning
• High impact leadership with ability to motivate others to perform and achieve results
• Track record of high-performance delivery: Experience in leading complex, result oriented teams with a sense of urgency and commitment to quality
• Aptitude for technology
• Technical and process knowledge
• Outstanding communication and presentation including report writing skills
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of IRA regulations
