Nature of engagement: Four Months contract

Tumaini Veterinary services is an established Agrovet in Kakamega county selling agrochemicals, livestock, veterinary, and public health solutions. In conjunction with a donor,
they intend to do rapid soil testing and health activity within Kakamega county for a period of four months. They, therefore, wish to engage the services of five competent people to assist them in the activity.
Responsibilities
Assisting farmers in soil testing.
Recommending to farmers the best crop to grow based on data from soil analysis.
Advising farmers on which soil improvement method to use.
Conducting farmers’ training.
Any other duty that will be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Diploma in Agronomy, soil technology, or soil sciences.
Thorough knowledge of soil sampling and testing
Should be preferably from Kakamega county.
Knowledge of the local language is a plus.
Must have good communication skills.
Ability to ride a motorbike.
