Job Title: Assistant Accountant, Treasury

Reports to: Accountant, Treasury

Job purpose:
The jobholder offers supports to the accountant- treasury by ensuring that receipts are issued and cash banked, dispatch of payments are done promptly and petty cash management is efficient .
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Issue receipts promptly by confirming from bank statements and cash or deposit slips.
- Dispatch of cheques and bank instructions
- Petty cash management.
- Acts as an agent and a liaison to the assigned bank accounts.
- Filing of accounting documents.
- Provide support during internal and external audit.
- Respond to customer’s queries
- Any other duties as may be assigned
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required
Academic & Professional Qualifications/Memberships to professional bodies:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field and CPA II
Experience Required:
One year experience in an accounting /finance department.
