Job Summary
The job holder will be the technical lead of all matters relating to Civil Engineering. This includes Construction Projects, Building Maintenance, Road design and Maintenance, Water reticulation systems design and maintenance.

Job Description/Requirements
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and implement upkeep and maintenance strategies for company roads, buildings, and water reticulation systems.
Develop and implement standards and best practices to be used across the company for all matters relating to civil engineering.
Provide technical civil engineering support for all construction projects.
Prepare annual budgets for the section and ensure spend is within approved budget.
Mentor, coach and train the section team to ensure highest standard of civil works is executed across the company.
Manage contracts relating to civil engineering ensuring that all undertakings are delivered to specification, within cost and on time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Academic Qualification
Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Professional Accreditation
Registered Professional/Corporate Engineer with EBK/IEK
Prince2/PMP Project Management Certification or equivalent
Key Technical and Operational Competencies
Engineering Project Management
Technical Engineering Drawings generation and interpretation
Bills of Quantities & Cost Estimates
Knowledge of current standards and legislation relating to Civil Engineering
Team Leadership
Cross functional collaboration
Presentation and Report writing skills

7 Years’ experience which must include demonstrable accountabilities in
Roads construction & maintenance (KeRRA Class L/F/S/T/W roads or equivalent)
Manufacturing & Residential Building Construction and Maintenance
Construction end to end project management
Water Reticulation design and maintenance
