AGRICULTURE, LIVESTOCK AND FISHERIES POSTS
- FISHERIES DIVISION
I) Fisheries Officer: JOB GROUP K (TWO (2) POSTS)
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Development and management of Fisheries Sector in Kwale County.
ii. Provision of fisheries extension services.
iii. Receiving, compilation, analysis of fisheries related statistical data and preparation of reports.
iv. Assisting in monitoring, control and surveillance of fisheries resources
v. Conducting of fisheries extension activities-capture fisheries, aquaculture /mariculture development
vi. Inspection of fish and fish handling facilities at fish landing sites, markets and farms,
vii. Assisting in promotion of fish marketing and value addition
viii. Ready for any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Requirements for appointment:
i. Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following; Fisheries, Biological Science, Zoology, Natural resource management, Environmental sciences or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
ii. Certificate in computer application will be an added advantage
