IT Business Analyst (Digital Channels)
Job Purpose:
The IT Business Analyst (Digital Channels) is a technology partner for business stakeholders to identify needs, propose IT solutions, and assist in the development of business cases and projects for Digital Channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the relationship between IT and Business for the Digital Channels Portfolio
• Ensure technology projects are built (and documented) in accordance with regulations and regulatory guidelines, including information security, privacy and other internal policies
• Proactively match business needs with technology capability, by showcasing best practice with key stakeholders, and highlighting value in a business context
• Work with Product Owners to shape long term solution roadmap according to business priorities, and understand the technology roadmap
• Recommend and challenge choices around the best technology approaches (solution design) to meet business needs
• Coordinate development of business processes and business requirement documents in collaboration with Business users
• Assist in solution evaluation
• Prepare/Assist in the development of Business Cases
• Analyze BFSI markets to identify potential digital opportunities
• Provide any functional inputs and clarifications during project execution by the partners and developers
• Lead the technical discovery process for potential digital projects, scoping needs, gathering requirements, and producing functional specifications for a solution build, based on regional and global standards
• Manage change requests
• Manage projects from conceptualization till implementation (full project life-cycle)
• Assist in issue/defects resolution for related channel applications/systems
• Perform any other related duties as may be required
Capabilities & Skills:
• Good practical knowledge of channel solutions and underlying platforms
• Deep understanding of Banking Applications
• Expert in the digital technology ecosystem, including development frameworks, and tools
• Understanding and knowledge of the underlying technology platforms
• Knowledge of programming framework and languages such as HTML/HTML5, Javascript, CSS/CSS3, SASS, jQuery, Browser Dev Tools, Angular5, Typescript, Ionic4 or latest, etc
• Knowledge of relevant and recent technology areas in the BFSI space
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Awareness/Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks as applicable to the BFSI sector
• Conversant with best practices and techniques to maintain and enhance security on Digital Channels
• Knowledge of business continuity/disaster recovery planning processes and procedures
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• University degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certification in Business Analysis, Project Management, ITIL, and DevOps is an advantage
• A minimum of 5 years of intensive relevant experience in the Digital domain (Technology & Business)
• Experience in IT Security is an advantage
• Fluent in English and French (both verbal and written)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
• Dedicated team player
• Strongly motivated and available to work outside normal hours
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
