Our client, a German charity running a support programme for elderly and children with special disability is looking for a German speaking Nurse.
THE JOB
The nurse will be deployed in Care Facilities for terminally ill and elderly in both urban and remote areas to provide high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs, as well as offering emotional and psychological support to both patients and their families.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
i. Administer medications and treatments to patients according to physician orders
ii. Monitor and document vital signs, changes in condition, and response to medications and treatments
iii. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers
iv. Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating
v. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families
vi. Educate patients and families on their medical conditions and treatment options
vii. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
viii. Follow all facility policies and procedures for patient care and safety
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
i. Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya and have a current practicing license.
ii. German language level B1.
iii. Nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
