Job Requirements
i. Bachelor’s degree in law.
ii. Postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of law.
iii. Must have at least five (5) years of experience as an advocate.
iv. Proficiency in computer applications.
v. Good medication and conflict resolution skills and a proven track record of excellent legal advice.
vi. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
vii. Must have good communication and presentations skills.
Job Description
i. Representing the county in courts of law and litigation managements.
ii. Appearing in court as required ad instructing counsel when they are briefed to advise and appear.
iii. Ensure that each file has a legal detailing the facts, merits and strategy of the case.
iv. Ensure adequacy of information on all litigation files; all litigation files should be clearly marked indicating the court, the court file number and all pleadings should be securely filed.
v. Manage alternative dispute resolutions like mediation, arbitration and/or conciliation of all matters.
vi. Prepare witnesses and material for the court.
vii. Review and approve pleadings.
viii. Prepare case briefs and court updates for County Attorney, timely court filings submitted; including preparation and filing all court documents.
